Packing Services
We know how important it is to package your items in a way that they can withstand the journey by courier. Even having a label that says “fragile” does not guarantee that the package will be handled with the necessary care to remain intact. That is why we have trained to become experts in packaging and shipment protection, allow us to pack your shipment in our premises as best as possible so that it arrives safely at its destination.
There are restrictions on what you can send, they may vary by destination country and specific regulations, but in general, these are the commonly prohibited items:
1. Hazardous materials and illegal substances
- Drugs and controlled substances, including marijuana (even in states where it is legal)
- Dangerous chemicals, explosives, fuels, and compressed gas
- Radioactive substances and infectious or biological materials
2. Flammable or corrosive products
- Flammable paints and solvents
- Improperly packaged or damaged lithium batteries
- Aerosols and other flammable materials
3. Money and other valuables
- Cash and bank checks
- Bonds, securities, and financial securities
- Credit or debit cards
4. Animals and animal products
- Live animals (except with special services and some exceptions for insects or fish)
- Ivory, ivory products, or derivatives of protected animals
- Skins and some unauthorized fresh or processed meats
5. Materials Perishables and Foodstuffs
- Fresh foods not properly packaged
- Fruits, vegetables, and agricultural products without an import/export permit
- Dairy products and raw meat without prior inspection or special packaging
6. High-Value Objects and Works of Art
- Jewelry and precious stones without insurance or proper packaging
- Uninsured high-value works of art
- Expensive electronic equipment without special packaging
7. Firearms, Ammunition, and Military Items
- Firearms and related components (unless under a specialized service with permits)
- Ammunition, cartridges, explosives, and military equipment
- Imitation weapons or items that look like weapons
Additional Policies and Procedures
For some items that are not completely prohibited but have restrictions, such as medical products or electronics with lithium batteries, each company has specific packaging standards that must be followed.
